A Few Changes to BeYOUtiful Box

http://www.beyoutifulrewritten.com/store/Christmas-boxes-includes-delivery-or-shipping-p92799019I am trying to figure out the best way to do BeYOUtiful Box.  It is a work in progress and I love the feedback that I get from my customers.  I have had some amazing reviews but I think it's time that I do something that I was originally doing.  This will not impact the current orders as it will go into effect for the future orders. I will now be offering FREE delivery within Airdrie.  I was finding that my products were confusing on my website when I was offering free pick up, delivery, shipping.  So this is my...

Being an Entreprenuer is a Lot Like Being a Mom

There are moments when I feel on top of the world.  I know exactly what I am doing with my business.  The boxes go out and I feel pride because I love them.  They are perfect and more than I imagined.  Knowing exactly why I became an entrepreneur. There are moments when I scream out of frustration.  I feel as if I don't know what I am doing.  I am completely lost and oblivious as to why I became an entrepreneur.  Questioning every aspect of myself and my business. Then those moments where I am dancing around my house out...

Feeling Sexy with a Boudoir Shoot

I honestly fell in love with my first set of boudoir photos I had done back in 2014.  I told myself that I would get them as a yearly treat for myself.  A way to document my aging in a sexy and empowering way.  Well it is now 2017 and I hadn't done a shoot since and I decided it was time. The wonderful Anna Miller of Dynamic Eye Photography was open to doing the photos I had imagined in my head and I am so incredibly happy with the results. I had a vision that was out of my...

Beauty Through Hatred

Tear soaked pillow, laying there for what felt like days, dehydrated from all the tears lost.  Isolated in my 1 bedroom apartment but that was the way I wanted it.  Not talking to anyone for days at a time.  Just laying there, wondering what my life would be like if things had turned out differently. The walls were left bare and I walked around in a daze when I did get up and wander my apartment.  I was a lost soul not looking for anyone to find me.  I wanted it this way.  I couldn't be hurt.  I couldn't be...

When did this become acceptable?

I have been a mom for almost 10 years.  Wow it's scary to say that out loud.  And in those 10 years, I have learned a very important lesson..... WE ALL PARENT DIFFERENTLY. So when I get a woman who rings my doorbell telling me that I am a bad mom because I allow my children to play outside by themselves and that she is going to report me, my mama bear instincts kick in. I will admit, I lost it.  Who wouldn't though??  I told her, in a not so kind told, that she was not welcome to ring...

Discover Your Inner Goddess

The Discover Your Inner Goddess workshop that was held on September 22nd was such a perfect event!!!!  We had 17 women attend.  I am so incredibly thankful and blessed for such an awesome turn out and the friendships that were created. My co-host, Lenora and I, want to extend a huge thank you to those 17 women who showed up.  This is a workshop that we worked on for a couple months and the energy that was in that room that night was beyond comparison. The night started off by a fun little introduction game, where everyone had the chance...

Real Beauty

I find that as women, we are harder on each other than men are on women.  We critique each other harder.  Today I wanted to show that what we think is beauty is not true beauty. I asked for women to fill out a survey for me asking 4 questions.  Spousal help was used due to the nature of the questions.  I am loving the answers that were received and I am hoping that these will start to shift what we should define beauty as. I really wanted to showcase that what we thought was beauty isn't what others define...

Date A Month Challenge #1

So a few weeks ago, I posted a date a month challenge I was going to do with my husband.  Well we finally started the challenge. This month the challenge was to do a scavenger hunt that I found on Groupon.  Today was the day.  It was an absolutely beautiful day in Calgary.  A high of 18 after a week of cold and rainy weather. I purchased the Big City Hunt from Groupon.  There link is below if you want to check them out.  Basically, you purchase the self guided scavenger hunt and then visit their website. https://www.bigcityhunt.com You enter...

Time For Some Clarification

First I wanted to start off with saying thank you to all of those who took the time to read my last blog post.  Even if you didn't like it or didn't agree with it, I am still reaching people that need to hear the message.  If you didn't read it, feel free to click on this link to check it out. http://www.beyoutifulrewritten.com/the-day-i-became-the-fat-girl/ Now I think it is time to clarify a few things on this blog post. This blog post was not written by a disgruntled basketball player who is angry about her play time.  It has nothing to...

The Day I Became the Fat Girl

My parents were sitting around a table in a classroom.  I was called out from basketball practice and taken to the room they were in.  I honestly had no idea what to expect as I didn't know what I was in there for. I was an athletic girl growing up.  I played volleyball, basketball, and baseball for as long as I could remember.  All of my friends were part of one or more of those teams that I played on.  We had so much fun!  I loved every second of it until this happened. I left the room bawling.  I...
