There are moments when I feel on top of the world. I know exactly what I am doing with my business. The boxes go out and I feel pride because I love them. They are perfect and more than I imagined. Knowing exactly why I became an entrepreneur.
There are moments when I scream out of frustration. I feel as if I don’t know what I am doing. I am completely lost and oblivious as to why I became an entrepreneur. Questioning every aspect of myself and my business.
Then those moments where I am dancing around my house out of pure joy. I get a new order. I get booked for a public speaking event. I get an amazing review. Those are the moments that every entrepreneur (and mom) live for.
These moments can happen all in a matter of hours, days, or weeks. The highs and lows of entrepreneurship are sometimes an hourly occurrence. The questions, the doubt, the what ifs.
The tears, both celebratory and sad, the exhaustion levels of staying up all night, working when the baby wakes up in the middle of the night.
In the end, it’s all worth it. Just like being a mom, it teaches you how strong you are and have to be, how flexible you need to be, gives you experiences that fill your heart and sometimes rip it right out of your chest. Being a mom and being an entrepreneur are a way of life. A way of life that in those small moments I question myself but then comes a moment that reminds me of why I am making all the sacrifices I am.
